Administrative Assistant
Think Kids is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant. If you’re the successful candidate, you will provide high-level support to Think Kids’ leadership on multiple projects, funded through multiple funding streams, and help our nonprofit expand its reach to improve the lives of West Virginia’s kids. We’re looking for someone reliable and self-motivated with great organizational skills and a knack for multitasking. You will need to have experience in many of the listed skills and an interest in learning others. The job will pay $20/hour, and you will work mostly from home and often on your own schedule. You must live in West Virginia, preferably in the Charleston area, but this isn’t a requirement. We’re flexible on vacation and time off, as needed. This is contractual employment. During the 60-day probationary period, you will be limited to 15 hours a week. After that time passes, your hours will increase to 20-30 and will continue to increase as the organization grows. We’ll get to know you and your skills during the probationary period and adapt the job accordingly, so it’s a good fit for both of us. You will be responsible for:- Assisting in the clerical duties on multiple grants, including scheduling meetings and events, maintaining the organization’s calendar, updating project databases, organizing files in the virtual workspace, communicating with stakeholders, and writing reports;
- Proofing executive documents as needed;
- Taking meeting notes and minutes, often from recorded meetings;
- Writing articles for our bi-monthly newsletters;
- Assisting with bookkeeping in coordination with accountant services;
- Updating the website;
- Updating social media sites;
- Performing other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

- A high school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Direct work experience is required. Numerous years of administrative support experience are preferred.
- Must be a responsible and committed team player who will take responsibility, use discretion, and maintain confidentiality in the workplace.
- Must exhibit an ability to multitask and be flexible with workload and assignments;
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Be adaptable and responsive to organization growth;
- To reiterate, you must be dependable and self-motivated, as much of the work will be done virtually.
